The Waterpik Complete Care with sonic toothbrush offers great value for the price when you take a close look at all of the features and specs. Like other Waterpik brand water flossers, it has been proven in the lab to remove up to 99.9% of plaque with use of approximately 1 minute per day and is up to 50% more effective than standard floss when it comes to gum health improvement.

The stylish design comes in two colors: black and white. I personally find the black unit more appealing for it's sleek look. It also features chrome accents for a more modern appearance. The look of the Complete Care WP-950 is the most obvious change from the previous model.

The feel of the pressure dial has been improved in this model so that it feels more comfortable in your hands. The on/off switch on the handle is now a slider instead of a push button. Some customers had complaints about the button on the previous model because it could become stuck inside the base. Whether or not this is an added benefit is based on personal preference.

The water reservoir is covered with a hinged lid and can hold 23 oz. of water which provides approximately 90 seconds of use before a water refill is required.

The complete care system comes with a sonic toothbrush, including 2 standard toothbrush heads and 2 compact heads with brush head covers. It can be stored neatly in a premium travel case that is included with the unit and features a 2-minute timer with 30 second quadrant pacer to remind you when to move on to the next area of your mouth.

Standard toothbrush heads:

  • Extra soft rounded bristles for a gentle clean
  • 3 in a package
  • Replace every 3 months

Compact toothbrush heads:

  • Same price as standard
  • 3 in a package
  • Smaller design for precision cleaning
  • Replace every 3 months

There are 2 speeds to choose from: a lower speed for a gentle clean and a higher speed for max. plaque removal. No need to worry about when to recharge the toothbrush as it includes a deluxe recharge indicator gauge directly on the toothbrush handle.

It is important to read and follow care instructions included in the box to keep your oral irrigator in good condition and everything working correctly. We've provided some general care and cleaning instructions to help you out in case you've lost the manual or need some quick advice.

  • Modern, sleek look.
  • Comes with more toothbrush heads than it's predecessor
  • More comfortable handle design
  • Spacious storage for tips/heads
  • Choose between black/white units

  • One of the biggest changes between models is the look of the unit, which may not be appealing enough for customers to make the upgrade.
  • The unit is fairly loud when in use.

  • Comes with 2 year warranty and 14 day results guaranteed.
  • Tips provided include: 2 classic jet tips, 1 orthodontic tip, 1 plaque seeker tip and 1 pik pocket tip

The latest Complete Care unit sure packs a punch. They call it complete for a reason. It provides your total brushing/flossing needs all in 1 unit. Waterpik nails the design on this one; it has the look, the features, the comfort and the efficacy needed to keep your teeth and gums healthy and clean.

However, if you already own the Complete Care WP-900 model and it is working well, I wouldn't recommend making the upgrade until you need a new one.
